Hello Scrappy friends!

First of all....Happy New Year to you all! I sure hope it is off to a great start! I havent been here for quite some time and I miss everything about it, scrapping, blog hopping, looking for inspiration and seeing all the new and wonderful creations from all of you! Well, I wont get into why I havent been here, lets just say...life gets in the way sometimes! It seems to be happening more then not for me in the last year or so. I just started (once again) to get my scrap stuff all set up. Room is set, most of my stuff is still in a locker. I will be getting it in the next week, so I plan on locking myself in my room and going scrappy crazy for awhile!!!...lol You will be seeing posts from me soon after! I cant wait! The only problem I have is working on a camera, I have access to one but want my own :) Hope you all stop by once Im back in motion here, looking forward to blogging again!

Hello there out there in the scrappy world! I have been on a tag making frenzy now...geesh, from layouts to tags...so many in such a short time...so proud of myself! lol Anyways these are all made from scraps, I just added some stickles to them for some sparkle! Hope you like them. Tfl

Here are a bunch of christmas tags I also made from scraps! (haven't even put a dent in my scrap stash ;) Added some stickles to these too for some sparkle!

...and here are 2 halloween tags I made. I still make my children goodie bags (and 2 out of 3 of them are adults...lol) These will have their name put on them before I put it on the bag. Tfl! These were so fun, and easy to make. Hope you enjoy! Tfl!!

Scrapping Frenzy....

...thats what I went on!!! After not scrapping anything for so long, I managed to get about 5 layouts and a couple cards , annnd a cardholder set done!! Woohoo, did it ever feel good to play with all my goodies again!

This page here is ALL doodled, everything, including the background paper...once I started, I just kept on doodling, and adding more, this is my finished page! Love the way the background turned out, way better irl!!! It was all done with a white pen and stickles! Tfl!

Hello out there my scrappy friends! I thought I would share with you a couple cards I made. They are for the card challenges over at sb.com. The card with the banner is for the color and sketch categories, and the pink and green one is for the photo inspiration category! Used stamps on both of them, decorative scissors and a punch. It's a nice change from doing layouts all the time! Tfl!

Hi there again!! I wanted to share something else with you, and that is...It's my week for greetings and birthdays as part of the design team over at http://pagesintimestoresite.ning.com , and also we are to choose a QOTW (question of the week). My question for this week is...What die-cut machine do you use (or have you used), what are your likes and dislikes about it!

I am on the hunt for a new one for myself and could really use some feedback on this! I really don't want to spend a lot of money, as I try to keep my scrappy spending down to a minimum! (which is sometimes really hard...lol) Anywhooo, maybe if I give you a bit of info on what my style is, you can better help me with my choice! I love to make a lot of my own embellies, such as flowers etc. I do love some of the die-cut flowers out there, and would also LOVE to save some money on letters and such! If I can cut out my own, then I wouldn't have to constantly be buying more for my titles and journaling! I really like to put journaling on my pages, sometimes a lot of it ;) Maybe I would be better off just buying some punches and stamps, what do you think? I appreciate all feedback, as it ALL will help me decide! Thanks so much in advance!

Crazy Storm!!!

Hello my friends. Hope you are all having a great day so far!
We had one crazy storm last night, and as far as I know at this point, no one I know was harmed! Crazy wind and heavy rain. Tornadoes touching down, golf ball sized hail in places, BIG trees toppling over...you get the picture, right! Yeah...crazy!!!!
All that kept going through my head is omg, what happens if a tornado touches down in my town...imagine all my scrappy goodies flying all over town :( Not a good thought!) I truly was scared out of my mind! Like white knuckles just holding on to my seat...yes I was out in the car at the time!! 8/
I'm kidding... that was not the only thought going through my mind, I was praying for safety to all my family and friends here at home first, then the thought of my scrappy goodies blowing around town! ;)
Anyways we are all safe and today the sun is shining! Praying that all my scrappy friends where the storm is headed stay safe too! Batten down the hatches!!!!!

Tutorial on Cardholder

step 4- fold from point up to center of page...only time you need to use adhesive is here at this point
step 3 bring each bottom corner up to center of page so they meet in the middle
step 2 fold it in half
step 1...start with a heavyweight piece of 12 x 12 cardstock (preferably double-sided)
step 5- add ribbon with eyelets for closure...holds 4-4"x5" cards and envelopes. Probably 6 cards without too many embellishments! :)

Hi my scrappy friends...its been a little bit. Between working and being addicted to making these cardholder sets, I haven't really been doing too much else...lol! I will be setting up a table for an event here in the town I live in. So I will be doing a lot more of these....hope you all don't get bored with them! I will be making some christmas ones too...just have to get me some new christmas papers first. I find it hard to do christmas stuff in june, maybe a new pack of papers will help with that ;)

This is my take on the weekly sketch this week. Had so much fun with this sketch! I just kept adding more and more flowers...lol Used decorative edged scissors, flower punches for all flowers except the large orange one. Hand cut the scalloped circle out for the background, added some stickles and bling. Oh I also added a little mirror to indicate what the page is all about...my youngest daughter ...she LOVES taking pictures, and does a lot of herself! I don't ever have a problem finding pictures to scrap...its choosing which one(s) to use thats the problem...lol Thanks for stopping by!

Computer Crashed!

Holy Schmoly!!! Just when I needed it most!...LOL I have been away for a few days because my computer crashed! I wont bore you with the details...lets just say, it was VERY frustrating! I was just chosen for DT at PIT (pages in time) and then my computer crashes! Anyways....Pit has a new Design Team, and fun and prizes are starting in March!! Hope to see you there!

Mini Album-Life of a Crafter

This is just something I made one day recently. See what happens when you are bored...lol Anyways inside is a poem called Life of a Crafter...poem goes like this (actually quite comical)
She learned to stamp on Monday
her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to set out dinner...
so away we went to dine.

She brayered backgrounds Tuesday
she says they are a must...
they really are quite lovely
but there was no time to dust.

On Wednesday it was birthday cards
she claims that chalking's fun
shading, blending and water-coloring
but the laundry wasn't done.

Her card swap was on Thursday
she had to use green, blue and red,
it was obvious she was really engrossed
when she failed to make the bed.

It was shaker cards on Friday
using techniques that she just adores,
what a pity she then failed to notice
the crumbs dropped all over the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday!
My week is now complete
my wife can stamp her hours away
and the house will still be neat.

Well, already it is Sunday
and my forehead's feeling damp
cuz I've cursed, and raved and ranted
for the Maid has learned to stamp!!

Hi everyone....hope you are all having a scraphappy day! ;) Im not getting any scrapping done (yet) today so far, but alot of organizing for a bloghop i decided to join in on...I will be back with all the info on that as soon as I get these pics posted first! This is a wedding album I made for my cousin who was married in August 2010! Yes I am just now uploading the pics from it....lol As you can see...still trying to catch up on the last year i havent been here :) Hope you enjoy them....Im not too sure what paper line they are, but besides the papers, cardstock and all that stuff I added some handcut flowers, ribbon, and of course some bling!

Mini album -Friend

This is a mini I just finished for a friend! It was quite easy to make...all I used was a piece of thick card'stock' that came at the bottom of a pack of patterned papers. Cut it all to size, added cardstock and some goodies and voila! I also added some quotes and ribbons. It's held together with a ring thingy (not sure what they are called) which i added ribbon too also! Thanks so much for looking.

I will be adding some more pics of cards I made for various challenges for January...but maybe later...I have been uploading all morning, and want to scrap sometime today!!! I just love being in my new 'piece of heaven' (scraproom) :) Have a great day everyone...will be back soon

Just amazing how time flies...when your having fun....NOT!!! This last year has gone by so fast I cannot believe it! I have moved...moved again...started a new job. But the best part of all is I have set up my new scraproom!!!! It's still not exactly how I want it to be...needs quite a bit of shelving still....but its definitely a great start to my little piece of heaven :) So with that...I am looking forward to catching up with everyone, seeing what you have all been up to, and all of what I have been missing for the last year! Hope everyone's holiday was safe and fun. A very safe, happy and healthy new year to you all. Here are a couple pics of my room...will be posting in the next couple days or so, some pages I have been working on. Oh and I made a couple mini albums too, so I will upload them too. So excited to be back...yippeeee....woohooooo :D

Hello everyone...I have not been here in awhile..I seemed to have lost my mojo! Its driving me crazy!!!! I keep trying to do a page, and every time I do...nothing comes together! I need a crop to get me motivated again...lol They seem to do it for me! Anyways, Im working tomorrow and Im hoping when I get home I can get the mojo going again...we will see what happens.
There are a couple things I have done that I will upload.
I just have been working on a new computer, and I hate it!!! I want my old one back...our power went out and it seemed to have fried my computer...I lost so much, about 1000 pictures. I started to put them on cd's, but only got half way done =( This computer is so much different, all the programs are different, so thats another thing Ive been doing....navigating!!! Not fun!!! Probably why I lost my mojo....ya think? =S Anywhooo enough rambling, just thought Id let you know Im still here...lol Be back with some pages soon hopefully!! I have just finished up with an on-line weekend crop at Pages In Time!!! Phew! What a crop it was!!!! Amazing ...I had sooo much fun, there were 13 challenges and quite a few games that were just hopping all weekend long! I did all challenges and twists that went with them, I had a blast...13 pages I did this weekend!!!!!! Wow!!!! Some of them brought tears to my eyes, both from sadness and joy!! Nikki was the most wonderful host! She did an amazing job running this crop, and all events going on were soo much fun...way to go girl...you rock!!!! There are 3 superb kits for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place....hmmmm, dont know the results yet...wish me luck =) So I am uploading all 13 pages I made, I hope you enjoy them even half as much as I enjoyed creating them...have fun, take care Kelly

Wow, I am soo happy =) I signed in at PIT (pages in time) to upload a sketch layout I had just finished this morning. A weekly sketch challenge at the site, and my first time ever using one of the sketches there...and WOW...was I surprised...I, yes me, featured artist of the month!!! I was doing the happy dance...1st time ever for me and Im pretty excited about it...woohoo! Hi everyone, the weekend is upon us once again, I hope you all have a great one!
This is a layout i did from the sketch over at 52 sketches in 52 weeks, I just cant get enough of those sketches...they are so cool! I punched out all the squares and adhered them around the border. Cut out the 4 strips behind the pic, and doodled in black around them. I cut a circle out of my son's old jeans, then layered it for the flower. Used fiskars edge scissors around the black mat, added a journalling tag and wrapped the pic with ribbon. Tfl

I asked her to use the same pic and do a different eye colour for each one...and voila, my little photo editing assistant came through with flying colours!!!!
